РАСКЛАД ВЕЩЕЙ
Воображай, воображенье! Смей
обряд свой совершать — поползновенья
куда-то за предел обыкновенной,
а потому неполной, жизни (ей
дано быть полной с помощью твоей,
и только с нею). Как без рвенья
к полётам твоего в ту высь, где верно
отображается расклад вещей
в небесном зеркале?.. Как без затеи,
которой будущее богатеет,
сводя к нулю заговорённость дел?
Как без чеканящих нам смысл абсурдов,
каскады мыслей ищущих повсюду,
себе не изменяющих нигде?..

APPORTION OF THINGS
Imagine, imagination! Dare
to perform your rite — of pretension
somewhere beyond common
and therefore not entire life (it
is given to be such one with help of you,
and only with it). How without your zeal
for flies to that height where heaven mirror
right reflects the apportion of things?.. How
without tricks, with which the future
becomes more rich,
annihilating incantation of proceedings?
How without absurd that coins
senses for us, searches cascades of thoughts
everywhere and does not betray itself nowhere?.
